Verb - Avere

Unità 1: Saluti e le Presentazioni

“Avere” is the Italian verb for “to have,” and mastering its conjugation is essential for everyday conversations. Just like in English, Italians use it to express possession or ownership, and it has countless applications! Additionally, avere functions as an auxiliary verb, similar to essere (to be).

However, before you start conjugating avere, it’s important to note that it’s highly irregular and doesn’t follow the standard -ere verb endings.
